Subject: Long Pac Finishing Race Committee members needed

Long Pac finish Race Committee needed

Greetings! - the Singlehanded Sailing Society's Long
Pac race is in need of folks to be part of Race
Committee for the finish.  The yachts start on
Wednesday morning June 27, sail out 200 miles into the
ocean, and then return to Golden Gate Yacht Club.  The
boat should be approaching Golden Gate YC by Friday
evening.

The Society would like to have a RC available to
finish the boats, with at least two people at the
finish line through the weekend.  RC responsibilities
include listening to the radio, responding to the
racers as needed, and recording finish times.

To support RC while on stations, Paul Koenig has made
available  his Jenneau 40 'Bear Boat' to act as hotel
boat at GGYC, complete with bunks, a radio, and a
stove - this will provide a place that is warm and out
of the wind while waiting for the boats to come in.

Please let me know if you are available at various
times through the weekend, in terms of:

Friday evening (6pm to midnight)
Friday night   (midnight to 8am)
Saturday       (8am to 6pm)
Saturday evening (6pm to midnight)
Saturday night (midnight to 8am)
Sunday         (8am to 6pm)
